Marseille my 4 favorites

A special week in Marseille on the blog. Today I invite you to discover my 4 favourite places in the Phocaean city. Restaurant, roof-top, breath-taking view, my favourites for this city of a thousand colours. Hello, my chicks, you know it if you follow me on Instagram, I'm very far from you as you read this article! A few days of vacation in Tel Aviv, the dream! But I couldn't leave Marseille without preparing a small city guide 😉 Marseille, or tourist, this article is a selection of my favourite places to enjoy the end of summer days, the places where I live where I have my habits and that I am delighted to introduce you here. 4 places to discover if you go to Marseille.

The top roof of the Friche

A place that has become a must, the Friche de la Belle de Mai. A cultural complex, combining art exhibitions, skatepark and trendy roof. A gigantic esplanade at the top of the building, with an unobstructed view of Marseille. Electro music and DJ set of quality, family atmosphere, far from guided evenings, we come here to drink a beer with friends to admire the sunset. During the week during the summer, the Friche also hosts an open-air cinema. A place I particularly like, and which is visually worth a visit even when there are no events.

A pizza with a view, at Valon des Auffes

Le Valon des Auffes, a Marseille nugget, where I like to stroll at the end of the day. A small fishing port, with its typical cabanons, it is a true haven of peace where the people of Marseille like to recharge their batteries far from the hustle and bustle of the city. At the end of the day, the place is alive, filled with a world full of smiles dazzled by the beauty of the setting. Enjoy a pizza at Jeannot's, a real institution, and dine in front of the ballet of small fishing boats. The ideal place for a meal with family or friends.

A Cocktail at the Carry Nation

A secret place par excellence, this bar, located just a stone's throw from the Old Port, incorporates the codes of establishments under prohibition. Hidden in the back of a souvenir shop, you enter it through a cupboard (yes, a cupboard). A cosy atmosphere, leather seats and a demonstration of flare, in addition to the atypical aspect of the place, it is for its delicious cocktails that one comes here. Maybe even the best in the city. To get there you will have to contact the owners of the premises directly in order to obtain the entry code, yes such a place is worth it!

Tapas in Akolytes

A small restaurant located at the beginning of the Kennedy cornice, facing the Catalan beach. An atypical establishment, with china decoration. The kind of restaurant I can flash on. On the menu are various tapas, quality products, and culinary discoveries. In short, a place without fuss, arty and friendly, where you can eat well, served by a top-notch team. A word of advice: make a reservation! With these 4 favourites, you can discover Marseille in the style of its inhabitants, places where you can meet friends, over a meal or an aperitif. Something to occupy your holiday evenings 😉 and you have places to recommend to me?
